Adult Forums
After the 10:00 service, adults are invited to the Parish Hall for a time of refreshment and fellowship. It is the custom at Saint James the Less to invite parishioners to participate in
a planned educational forum. Our forums include guest speakers; interactive lectionary based bible study and Spiritual reflections. The Forum takes place during the same time as Children’s Church School. .
Weekly Bible Study
All are invited to participate in the weekly bible study which meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:30, immediately following the 9:00 Holy Eucharist. Participants follow the lectionary cycle of biblical lessons.
Spiritual Parenting Group
This new group will meet on one Wednesday evening each month from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. in the Isom Room. We are currently exploring the film series: “Parenting the Early Years: 10 biblical Traits That Your Kids Will Remember You For.” The series is taught by educators Les and Leslie Parrott. The evening involves time for viewing the film segment followed by a period of discussion. The group begins on January 27th. All are welcome.
Lenten Book Group
During Lent, the entire parish is invited to read and reflect on a chosen book. Parishioners meet in small groups at mutually agreed upon times. In the past, books have included:The Jesus I Never Knew by Phillp Yancy and The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
