St. James the Less Nursery School Enrichment
Field Trips
To expand the children’s horizons, we arrange trips to the local fire station, hospital and library. We also make trips to the museum and theaters on occasion.
Our children are further enriched through presentations at the school on career days. We invite police officers, fire fighters, doctors and dentists as well as a host of others.
Music and Movement
Every week the children are visited
by our trained music
and movement specialists.
The children get to create and interact with music, dance, and play. This helps to develop different skills (listening, following directions, team spirit and movement) and allows free growth of their individual creative minds..
Art Enrichment
Art is a very important element in a child’s development. At St. James the Less we promote creativity and ownership pride with the children. Each year at spring time, we have our annual Art Fair where all the works of our students are displayed.
Celebrations
At St. James the Less celebrations are important so we celebrate holidays from around the globe reflecting the diversity of our community. We pay specific attention to each child’s birthday and celebrate them within their class.
Parent Connections
Parents are welcome and encouraged to volunteer throughout the year. Please contact the Nursery school Director for information on how you can participate.
