Welcome to St. James the Less Nursery School
Our Programs
At St. James the Less Nursery School, we offer programs that suit your family’s lifestyle and schedule. During the school year, we offer a program for 2 year olds to come to us 2, 3 or 4 mornings a week on the days of the week you choose (subject to availability). For 3 year olds, we offer 3, 4 or 5 day morning programs (on days of the week you can choose), as well as a Lunch Bunch and afternoon enrichment programs. For 4 year olds, we offer a 5 day morning program, as well as Lunch Bunch and afternoon enrichment programs.
In our 2s and 3s classes, you can pick the days your child comes to us (subject to availability).
In addition to our school-year program, we also offer a June mini-camp and summer camp in July and August.

Our Philosophy
At St James the Less Nursery School, we want to spark all children’s interests and nurture their natural curiosity. Our goal is to help children feel comfortable in their first school experience, make friends, and become independent self confident learners that learn best at their own pace. Play provides the foundation for this future academic learning.
We emphasize the development of the whole child.
The activities we plan for children, the way we organize the environment, select materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with the children are all designed to meet their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. By working cooperatively and developing a strong partnership, we can plant the seeds of knowledge in the children and watch them grow as explorers, problem solvers and inventors. It is our goal for each child to reach their fullest potential.
We encourage all parents to come and see our school. We ask you to please set up an appointment first, to assure that there will be someone available to answer all of your questions. We want you to feel comfortable with our staff and the environment in which your child may be part of.
